The 200th participant was the operator from Kyiv, RIZBUKNET LLC, and recently the global hosting provider i3D.net, B.V., a resident of the Netherlands, joined UA-IX.
In the conditions of quarantine and remote work of citizens, the load on the UA-IX network has significantly increased, several participants switched to high-speed 100Gbpc ports, and traffic increased by approximately 35%.
Under these conditions, additional UA-IX capacity was deployed, which provided sufficient reserve for further traffic growth.
The Ukrainian traffic exchange network UA-IX was established as daughter companyof UIA in 2000, and this year will celebrate its 20th anniversary.
A feature of UA-IX is the exchange of IP traffic according to the All-All rule, the possibility of fully automated organization of a virtual connection based on VLAN technology between Participants, and the most democratic tariffs.
